Loft Mtn Campground to Lewis Mtn Campground
Opted for a long slack pack day with Bird and Twiggzy today to jump to the next campground in SNP. We did most of the day on the trail in the woods except for a short section around lunch and a section at the end of the day on Skyline Drive for some better views. This is a good option since the original trail followed Skyline Drive until the option was brought up to charge hikers to use the road, so the trail was moved off the road and into the woods.
Anyway, we made it to the campground, bought some beer and settled in to relax for the night. This group of us seems to be working well and hopefully we can keep moving north at the same pace. Back to full packs tomorrow and ending in my first night without Princess since she returned with the chase car. First time in the new tent also.
I wanna ride it all night long.
