1 mi N of Rocky Gap to VA 621 (Craig Creek Valley)
Bear (Lindsay's dog) was definitely running the show today. He led the entire 16 miles and became quite good at finding and following the white blazes and definitely had the best fun of all four of us. overall the hike wasn't bad if you discount the whole afternnon thunderstorm or the extreme swelling and discomfort in my two human hiking partners. It was a very pretty 16 miles but may have been a bit large of a chunk for a day hike. Oh well, it was good to hike with Princess again for the day and Lindsay now has a better idea of what we do out here every day.
Didn't get to slackpack today due to some logistical problems but I will probably do a slackpack day on Monday or Tuesday to make up for it. The rest day tomorrow will be a very nice break too. special thanks to Woody and Gary for being so accomodating with us here in Roanoke and letting us invade their house last night.
