Day 95 (7/24) - New York, New York

Day 95 - 0.0 mi/1439.3 mi tot
New York City

Nothing exciting from last night. The train ride into the City worked out fine and it was an interesting walk the 21 blocks from Grand Central to Ryan's apartment. There are so many people here and it is a big difference from the trail and there are actually a decent number of women in the City too which is not really the case on the AT, at least not in that quantity. Did laundry and re-treated my clothing to repel ticks while relaxing with Ryan, his brother and his brother's friend. Some chinese food finished out the night nicely.

On Saturday we were set for a fun day of sun and beer at a beer garden in Queens. The place was nice and had a bunch of trees, which were great in the heat. Spent most of the day there with a revolving door of other friends. It was fun to meet all these people and we got to try a bunch of different beers while we were there. Had a bunch of good sausages too. A good relaxing zero day and it is always good to see Ryan again.

These little town blues are melting away.
